What Viscocity oil do you all run? I know the Stealership out here runs 20w50 (Sacramento, CA btw) We have 108 Max ambient air temp in the summer and 32 min in the winter. Should i loosen up the oil for winter? or stick with 20w50 all together? Who all runs Royal Purple?

Thanks for the help everyone.

After reading A LOT of posts on here, seems that most do a 20W50 in both Primary & Swingarm. That's disregarding regions, just strictly by the posts I've read and my feeble memory.

Royal Purple seems to be the majority, with Amsoil closely behind.

Of course EVERYONE has their own views on this. If you'd like to know what they are, you're probably better off doing a Search with the term "Oil". ;)

so far i'm sticking with what it says in the manual. only done the 1k service so far, but i don't plan on changing anything when the 5k comes up. so yeah 20w50 (non synth) for me

ill bet the manual has a chart of temps an in hot temps like you have they recommend a heavyweight oil
