I'm at buell harley to get a copy of my key and a new gas cap. Just out of curiousity
I asked how much it cost for a tps reset. The mechanic tells me there is no such thing. He said the sensor can only be replaced not resetted, he said that I can reset the ECM though for $150. He asked if i wanted to schedule an appt., i told him noI and quickly made my way out.

mosiac00 what year is your bike? If it's 08 and up you don't need TPS reset but if older well find a new place for your service.

Mosaic. you can give this a shot:
Set run/stop switch to run position.
Turn ignition key on.
Leave enging off, rotate throttle from full closed to wide open and back to closed three times, make sure to hold both positions (full open and full closed)against the stop for one full second.
Turn the key off and then back on.
If it doesn't work for you you haven't lost a dime.

Neophyte, what exactly does the process you described above do? and does it only work for 08' models?

I didnt need a tps reset but just testing the water to see if they knew anything about Buells..looks like they dont.
