One year of ownership and 12K miles

I'm active duty military in a deploying status so I dont get to ride as much as I want and I dont count riding back and forth to work. Here is my report after One year and 12K miles.

Things that have broken: 0
Times bike would not start: 0
Things that got loose or fallen off: 0
Days I regretted buying a Buell: 0
Cost of riding up Mt. Palomar and talking with Ducati 1198 riders (or any other non Buell riders) and hearing how much they paid and what their maintenance costs are then seeing their faces when I tell them I paid $6,700 new: Priceless.
Times I get sick of explaining the Buell story and what my Xb is all about to other riders: 0
My new favorite tires: Michelin Pilot Power 2CT.
Enough blabbing, I'm going riding!

You must not ride hard enough! Mine was in the shop multiple times and I had roughly the same mileage in the first year

I am easy on the clutch and most the roads I ride are 2nd and 3rd gear roads and I dont need to rev it. I touch knees down before I touch pegs down and I am really big on maintenence.

I bought my Buell on 10/20/09 during the fire sale. Here is my report after 15 months and 7K miles.

Things that have broken: 0
Times bike would not start: 0
Things that got loose or fallen off: bolts on my drummer SS exhaust, (my fault)
Days I regretted buying a Buell: 0

Times I get sick of explaining the Buell story and what my Xb is all about to other riders: 0
My favorite tires: I also bought the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT about 3500 miles ago, great tires, great wear.
At least on this site I don't get called trailer trash because I bought my XB12S during the fire sale, I had been looking all summer, realized it wasn't going to get any better than this.

Great posts guys! [up] I have owned my bike 1 year on the 15th of Feb. rode 6000 miles and can say nothing but good things about these bikes.

my first year problems were.broken batt strap. melted trans vent line.front t-sigs loose one fell off during during a ride.bike wouldnt start do to blown pump fuse.shifter bolt fell out.breather hose popped out of head.trans vent fitting leaking.primary cover leaking.i guess mine was built monday or friday by the new guy.still love the bike though.
