Noticed it on BWB one day and thought to myself, who would pay that much? Then hit some sand on the road a few days later, did a bit of a slide and dinged up my header. I figure I can still fix it but didn't want to risk being without a bike if my fix went bad. Also didn't want to buy a new factory header to remind me that I wrecked the original one every time I looked at the bike.
So I decided to upgrade! From what I can see online I actually got a decent price on it - Micron was in great shape when it got to me and I sent the headers away for ceramic coating.
That's part of my concern as well...I want to make sure whichever method I go with I don't ding up the black ceramic coating. The less I have to bend, twist and swivel, the better.
