I am currently in a situation for a trade and wanted to get everyone's opinion here before I pull the trigger.

I have a 2009 1125R (Black)
10XXX miles
EBR rotor and stator so no more charging issues
HMF pipe, EBR ECM
Buell Saddlebags, aftermarket grips and levers.

And hoping to get a 2006 Buell XB12X (Barricade Orange)
only 9XXX miles perfect condition.
Factory Bags and tank bag.
Heated grips. pretty much stock otherwise.

I know its not a "fair" trade, but for my needs I really want a Uly, and havn't had any luck with offers.
I was looking to trade and get $1,500 on top of my bike. is that fair or should I ask for more? please help with advice!

lol thanks, I had a XB12R and 9. loved them! but just need something a little more "touring" friendly. Nice bike though!

Damn Everyone wants the ULY this sucks I love my bike I really do but the 1125 would be as close as I could get to a 1190 at least at a $18,000.00 price tag.

An honest true fair trade results in satisfying your inner desire. Try to imagine money being irrelevant in this case and ask yourself, do you truly want this other bike more.

If i were you and this guy had my hearts desire, i would ask for only the money i need for items like registration, taxes, and any repairs it would need. Probably no more than 800 dollars. That way i would have the warm and fuzzy that i have what i need for my bike to be legal and other dude gets his bike at an unbelievable price. Everyone wins.

I feel ya, the 1125 is amazing, i love it, i just need a touring machine, and at 18K i doubt I will have a new one for a few years lol

Sorry for going all philosophical. It happened to me and i was forever grateful. I guess 1,500 isn't bad either.

I appreciate the Philosophical advice bello, I tend to agree with you, and I would be more then happy if it were for a newer XB12X but for a bike that's that much older.
