Hey,

I got my 09 CR this year and I do have some trouble with speed above 160km/h. My 1125 CR starts to swing/oscillate a lot. I can handle it until 200km/h - ~125MPH, anything above is way to shaky. I used to have a Triumph Daytona 675 and had never an experience like that. Is there anything I can do? Is it normal? Is there a trend for the 1125 to do that?

Other than that, I'm totally in love with that cute - evilooking, powerfull, v2 bike ;)

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Drimi

Was the bike ever in a crash?
Have you checked the frame/fork alignment?
Is the front wheel properly balanced?
Are your tires worn (unevenly)?

I bought the Bike this year and the former owner did say it has no crash/fall over. (you scare me!)
I did not check the frame/fork for alignment, is there any way for me as a rookie to check? Same for the third question. Only the fourth question I can answer for sure, no uneven tires ;)

I guess the best idea is to ask my dealer?

He's pretty much hit it on the head.

Shouldnt have any bearing issues at this point, but give them a check to. I'd start with getting it inspected at a trusted shop. This is not normal, I can only speak from my experience but both 1125s I have had are smooth at any speed.

Good luck

I'll take it to my dealer and pray for a unproper balanced front wheel... (oh god i'm so scared..)

Thank you guys!

also, check your front brake rotor. If it is warped,or unevenly seated, it could cause a wobble

Silly question, but have you considered that its just less stable at speeds than a fully faired bike? You're catching alot more wind with the riding position and bug guard.

I know my lightning gets a little squirrely at about 85 and settles down after you push it to past 90-95

Mine was doing that too at lower speeds until I got my suspension set up right for my weight and got the correct air pressure in my tires.
