I'm just curious what other Buellers think of similar bikes like Wakan and Ecosse.

Let's pretend they were reasonably priced. I love the concept of the American V-twin in a sporty frame.

It is a great concept.[up] I like many asspects on all these examples[up]

I have an SV650S along with my Buell, and have always loved it. I still think that bike has the coolest looking tail lights of any bike.

I wish Wakan would come up with something better than that stupid ass bird catcher intake, IMO it destroys the entire bike. Sort of like going to Autozone grabbing one off the shelf and slapping it on the bike, just looks cheap and out of place.

Otherwise the bike is sweet as hell minus the price[smirk]

Those bike look cool as hell but im sure they are expensive. I have always been a fan of the Suzuki Tl1000R

I remember seeing the Wakan before and really liking it. It needs a little fine tuning to be perfect, but it's not bad. The price kinda puts it into it's own little category though. If I wanted something else that was a twin I would probably look into an old TLS or one of the first generation SV650Ss.

TL1000 is amazing in deed! my brother has one. they are not expensive but they are hard to find cause most of the people owning them won't let them go. i'm very disappointed they don't make them anymore.

I have found a few on craigslist in nc. I might be picking one up when i get home. I just am not a big fan of chromed, stretched, candy paint sport bikes and that is mostly what I have come across online for sale.

I love the Honda RC51. I used to ride with a guy that had one, and man the sound, the power... Just a great bike.

I love the rc51s, and as much as I've heard they're amazing bikes, I've heard even more that you won't enjoy one on the street. Considering the way I ride I know I'm not ever in enough of a rush to really enjoy a bike like that.

I do love the TLRs too though. They're a little bit bulky for someone my size. I wonder if anyone ever made TLR bodywork sized down for an SV650, that'd be a nice project bike.
