Do we have any ballers out there? What's your gear? I'm using the BT-4. Entry level really, but there is some good stuff out there.
I'm looking for some good techniques and other good equipment.

Used to play a ton when I was in highschool and first couple years I was in college. Ran a Vengence Eblade Autococker that was all pimped out... Makes me wish I still had my stuff :(

I played alot back in 2000-03, mostly tournaments. Sold all of my gear (i had 3 angels). Then about a year ago I got back into it. Now i have one of my angels back, but i shoot a Bob long Vice (love it).

After all of the money that i put into the sport, the best thing that i can tell you is just to break down and by the good stuff such as dye, eclipse...They are really easy to work on and they are very relible. Also they are more accurate and very efficient.

Some of the guys we play woods ball with have 1000 dollars into a tippmann. After they get done shooting a gun like my vice they cant believe the difference. Also i have less than half of what they do in their guns.

Just to let you know how efficient these guns are, i can get 1500+ round in a 68/4500 tank.

just my $.02

I use to play woods ball and I had a tippman. we had 24 guys and we would have some serious wars in the woods.

I used to play woods ball myself.......I was one of those guys with the $1000 plus Tippmans. I also had an A5 that I was pimping out, but I lost intrest in it. Man I miss those days of gettin all dressed up in my Camo BDU's to go play in the woods for the day.

I used to play years back. I had Spyders, Tippys, Cockers, Mags, and a couple Action Markers. Lots of guys use electros but I have a lot of fun playing with mechs. My brother got into stock class paintball and played that way for years, I went to a couple pump only big games and had fun. I couldn't tell you how many different guns he's had over the years. He's still got the first gun he ever owned, and he got it about 20 years ago.

I played tourney ball way back when, rocked a Pro Team Products Micro Emag. Nowadays I just go out with buddies and enjoy my time. Still loyal to speedball/xball, but I don't go through a case of paint every 3 rounds like I used to. Shooting an Smart Parts Ion now, sold the Emag. I get dogged on a lot for my Ion but honestly it's the most consistent marker I've ever owned.

Also, I laugh at how easy it is to get a tourney ready gun now. Back when I played (98-03ish) you pretty much had to drop a grand on top of what the gun cost just to compete, and Mags vs. Cockers was the great debate.

I stayed away from tourny's....... I waisted enough paint just playing with a mech gun. I can only imagine how much I would go through with a full auto gun. I will have to say that when Tippman introduced to Flatline barels for the 98custom it made playing that much better.......talk about reaching out and touching someone, and the acuracy was unbeleavable for sucha long range. I really liked snipeing.......find a good hiding place and just wait for victims to cross your area. Man I want one again........Craigs list here I come.

hav'nt played in about a year, still have my farvorite X7 with a RAP4 rifled barrel, super response trigger,M4 stock, and an Aimpoint red dot..I loves me some woodsball

I haven't played since high school, I used to have an autococker with a boomstick. Never played in tourneys, but played a lot of woods with friends, and even went and played speedball with some guys a couple of times.

I wonder, can you mount a paint ball gun to a bike and set it to fire when you hit the horn.?

Just stopped playing MXL/xball last year. Had just about every gun imaginable. Angels back when they were decent guns but stuck with shockers and egos the last couple years. Still have a bunch of gear kicking around.

I've been playing for 16 years and I just got out of it had over 100 guns for one of the first paintball guns an shotgun made to shoot paintballs. That the loggers use to use to mark trees for cut down to Angels, So from $50 to $1,500. The only marker I that I have left is a Tiberus 8 handgun that I'm trying to sell for $200

I've always liked RTmags if you can get enough pressure in them. My brother bought a Cocker from the local PB store, apparently they couldn't sell it. He bought it and it turned out to be magic. It was the smoothest, fastest Cocker either of us had ever seen. Some people complained about it, thinking it was an electro, that's how fast it was.

Here are some pics from Pump Pandemonium at EMR.

This is the main drive with all the cabins. Most of them were just barebones2x4 and plywood, but some were fixed up with drywall and heat. Of course, those were rented to groups that rented them year after year and did the fixing up themselves. the one I stayed in last year had bunks in the back half, and the front had a bar with keg taps! I may have some pics of that on my computer I can upload later.

Bob Lanstrom. I don't know if he is still involved in paintball or not. AS I remember he wanted to get my brother trained as a tech and have him tech guns at tourneys. My brother got trained for PMI (iirc) but never went. I first met Bob at one of the Castle Conquest games. My brother had agreed to tech but needed transport there. I drove him and Bob let me in the game for free. It was fun but my Diadem was acting up and I spent a lot of time in the bunkhouse to figure out it was the regulator.

Newer AGD Mag on top
PTP Micro Emag on bottom, she was my baby. I had a freak system for it but sold it off prior to selling the marker.

The Ion looks...like an Ion. I have a CP teardrop on it.

@Freak2180
Me and my two buddies would go through about 30 cases a weekend, but we had a local sponsor who would help us out with it. It did get way to expensive to keep playing at that rate though. And then I got into shooting firearms..........

Just got back from a month in Boise setting up a new facility and had no bike :( Subsequently went from having no paintball stuff as I had sold everything a couple years ago to a grand spent and 3 autocockers to tinker with and my bike no closer to where I want it (hand over face) At least I'll have some fun this summer playing again. Only one worth noting right now is a Shocktech SFL w/ MQ2 & Eblade I just put together. Next a half-blocked prostock w/ a karnivor front block. Can't decide if I want it to a mech or swap the MQ2 and blade to that instead. pics to come
