Been Searching threads with painted buells But looking for painted rims more specifically. I just finished painting my frame and plastics and Really Wanting the amber/gold rims over my Aluminum/silver ones. Anyone have a book marked thread showing who did what paint and procedure wise? I'm going cross eyed reading post afer post searching. Also Not sure how paints going to hold up with the road abuse. Maybe i'll just have them coated.

Powder coating[up] way better for rims then paint as far as durability.

I stripped mine down and had them powdercoated flat black.

what kind of prices did you guys pay to have your rims powder coated? i called a local place today and they said $100 for both if i want black, about another 50 if i want some special color

Coating was my original plan. $50 per rim for blasting and 75$ rim for coating. I even bought a sand blaster to do my own rims and anything else j wanna do, and it was the same price just about ad them blasting them.

$75 per rim out the door satin black (blasted, smoothed out any damage/imperfections and coated)

Thanks for the pic magic. I think i've been conviced to just coat them after all. Hope the gold color the coater has is close to the factory buell color.
