painting exhaust question

I want to paint my stock can and was wondering if i can reuse the gaskets?

If you can get them out without shredding them, I would say yes. BUT they are pretty tough to get out without messing them up. Better safe than sorry and get a new set for a couple bucks. I just swapped out my exhaust and destroyed the OEM gaskets.

They are resuable.
Just curious, why paint the stock can?

I'd like some insight to this as well. My '09 CR is showing a few signs of corrosion on the exhaust. Painting and refurb seems a little cheaper than buying an aftermarket...
