I have a problem with my firebolt I just put it all back together after replacing a shifter fork that broke inside the transmission. It started up just fine with no leaks or anything. I was riding it down the road just fine when all of a sudden a screw broke off and oil shot out of the breather tube. I took the cluth pack off and realized it was the screw that is attach to the lower transmission shaft. It worked it's way out. I put everything back together without the screw back in there and runs just fine but scared to ride it until fixed. My question is what is the purpose of this part? Part number 3990. Its a hex screw that is right behind the clutch pack and screwed right into the lower transmission shaft.
