I happened to notice a while ago that the the Ecosse Heretic uses Buell turn signals. It got me thinking...maybe Buell sourced the turn signals from some other bike. If you look closely at the Ecosse Heretic ignition switch, it looks to be a Buell part as well.

I know in the boutique car industry, manufacturers are notorious for using headlights, taillights, switch gear, suspension parts, etc from other manufacturers for their high-end sports cars.

So, it is possible that Buell turn signals, ignition switches, etc are from another manufacturer (I'm thinking european). The switch gear and throttle...aren't they from a Suzuki GSXR?

Just pondering after a few tequila sunrises....

I'm pretty sure the front forks on my Firebolt are the same as ths H-D Springer Softtail.....Oh wait....nevermind :D:D Wayne

We should put together a thread of cross-referenced parts in case things become harder to find.

I don't so much imagine that Buell gets random parts from other bike manufactures. I think chances are better that both manufactures get parts for the bikes from the same company. Do most manufactures spend time coming up with small things like signals and handlebar switches? I had always assumed they were all just buying them from parts manufactures.
