Hi guys,

I'm after some performance modifications for my xb12r. I've already got a termignoni exhaust which is great but I find myself eager for more power.

Can anyone suggest any modifications I can do? The dealers around my area don't seem to know anything.

Race ECM? Air-filter? etc

Thanks.

Oh wow Australia. I'm not sure who can dyno tune down under. You can always do a big bore kit of you want a real thumper.

K&N filter, header wrap, crank-case breather mod, and the race chip. you've already got the exhaust so your good there. I haven't heard one of those pipes. probli sounds pretty good i bet.

Breather re-route allows only clean air in the air box. you see; from factory your valve cover vent lines are dumping inside your air box (inside the filter too) so all of the steamy oily residue goes straight down the intake and into your engine. re-routing eliminates your engine from having to try to burn this $hit. it does not make a night & day difference, but it does make a noticeable difference and your motor and plugs will love you for it:)

Airbox delete? What all does this involve?

it is very simple and well worth it if you are running a K&N and an aftermarket pipe. you can do it by cutting your stock box and there are tons of pics & step by steps in the DIY section. you can then even cut some additional inlets in your outer cover:D

Just make sure that if you do all of this you have a plan to richen up you air/fuel mixture cause with an aftermarket pipe (allowing more air out) and an air box delete, (allowing more air in) you will definitely need more fuel too. otherwise it will be running too lean and could cause damage down the road.
