I have an Arai Quantum F helmet and I feel like I have blinders on when I ride. I feel like I have to turn my head to far to the right and left at four ways or just at an intersection just to see what is coming. When I where my skid lid I can see well without turning my head that far. Is this just this type of full face or is it all of them? I was looking at the Simpson outlaw, but if it is the same way then forget it. I prefer to wear my full face for protection, but I would like to have better peripheral vision too. Any experience or thoughts on this?

I wouldnt know, my head is a on a swivel every minute im on my bike. After riding for a while u get used to it.

I wouldn't trade the protection of a full face for the visual convenience of skull cap at all. I already feel like im pushing my luck with my Osbe.

There are full face helmets with 190 or more degrees of open.I use the Harley Davidson modular and its very good. Its hot in Hawaii and its nice to flip the front up at a red light to cool off a bit...

Well I'm taking your advice and just going to get used to it. I just ordered a simpson bandit, can't wait. Hopefully it does have better side visoin over my arai Q/F, but if not I will just try to get use to it. Ditching the skid lid. Thanks guys[up]

Good to here, I'm getting matte black with a black shield, looks tuff. I hope that the size chart for simpson is accurate. My Arai is a lage and going by the chart I was a medium. we'll see

yeah its easy to get used to if your helmet fits your perfect tends not to move around on you when your scanning for traffic and other obsticules

so hopefully the medium is the right size for you

the simpsons are pretty sweet looking
