Have any of you guys seen the XR1200 racing class? Riders are dragging knee on these things.

Meh. BFD:

As far as whether our bikes would've sold better badged as HDs? Dunno. Don't even know if I would've bought one.

Passed one on my way to work this morning, looks like a virago or some other jap copy from behind. Guy tried to roll the throttle and keep me behind, he didn't have anything.

these bikes are actually very close to Buells, if you put higher compression pistons in them, thunderstorm heads, and a well tuned pipe you're rolling the same engine

I've got the inside scoop on the V&H sponsored racing class for these, you can about 100lbs off of them by working with the steel sub-frame on the tail and a few other places. But the way the XR1200 itself is set up, they do poorly in tight turns

the XR1200X has a good suspension and all and it does pretty well

the dual rear shock isn't such a bad thing as far as I see it... if it's fully adjustable you can get the same effect as a mono

Butt Ugly, Looks like Orange county Choppers tried to make a sport bike and Paul Jr. had a bad day.

Next up will be the Harley Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations Limited Edition Willie G. Super Narrow Wide Narrow Smegma Glide XR1200 107th Anniversary Edition. Available for a limited time only with a limited production run of only 107,000. Sign me up for one!!!!!

HAHA this roles off the tongue well.

I test rode one last weekend, and the first thing I noticed was that the bike felt heavy right in the center compared to my old ass Honda, which feels heavy all over. The power of the motor is huge compared to my inline 4, but for some reason it didn't feel right. I did mash a finger when I tried to shift, I like to keep my index wrapped around the grip when I pull in the clutch, and the levers didn't let me do that.

Anyway, the only other HD I'd be interested in is a V-Rod.

i do like the new xr1200's. i'd never buy one though, that's what i got a buell for. I wanted a bike that was a sport bike, not one that looked like a sport bike. Only hd i'll buy like cb750 said vrsc.
