Has anyone here had any experience with the HD/ Buell dealers in the Philadelphia area? I was specifically wondering about Valley Forge HD & Buell which is very close to me. Reason I ask is because I bought an 09' CityX in January with less than 500 miles and its almost at 1,000 miles already (I can't stay off it since the weather has been a little nicer the past couple weekends!) I have the service manuals but I figured I would bring it in for the 1k and then do everything myself after that. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've had pretty good succes with deans hd in sellersville. One of the techs is actually a Buell supporter. My buell was actually purchased from Valley Forge HD. I know one of the sales guys there but no experiece with their service dept. My personal feeling though is to just do most of the service yourself. Their pricing sux. BTW, im located in Harleysville PA. Not too many buells in this area!

Thanks for the input, I'll have to give them a call. I agree with the thinking of doing most of it myself, I just figured if there was someone knowledgable in the area, it may be worth having them take a look at it now before I really start racking up serious miles. How's the roads up near you? I live in King of Prussia area but have been exploring up north of Reading and Kutztown area. Lots of Harley riders with no helmets around there but I have yet to see another Buell on the road anywhere.

I got mine at Barb's HD in NJ, they seem pretty decent. i've done all my own service on the bike so hopefully never need the stealership again :)

i actually rode up 73 to some back roads and back thru 29 on saturday. roads are fair id say around here. still some gravelly spots and plenty of potholes but other than that not too bad. once it gets nicer and they start having them again i normally try to hit the bike night at hooters in KOP. pretty good turnout and lots of different bikes.

Valley Forge HD is Buell-friendly.

I buy my parts from them. Chris in the parts dept is a Buell fan, and one of the other parts guys has an 1125r, too. I'm always treated well by all of the staff, they're good people.

As far as service, I've only had my bike inspected there, everyone in service seemed pretty cool, though. They didn't hassle me about my tail chop or race exhaust, either.

I rode past a fellow Bueller in downtown Phoenixville the other day...one of you guys? I'm sure I'll probably run into some of you this spring.

i was in phoenixville last weekend. my buddy has a fightered r6 that i ride with most of the time

Thanks again for the input. I was hoping to hear something positive about Valley Forge just because it's so close and it's nice to have a buell-friendly dealer in case something goes really wrong. I think I'm going to call around for a few quotes and if it's too high, just do it myself. I didn't know about the Hooters bike night, let me know if you go again, it's only a couple miles from me and I'd love to meet some local Buellers. I usually ride with two guys that have crotch rockets and one guy with a v-star cruiser. Everybody always goes right for the Buell though, I love it!

Sup guys, might be buying my first buell this week. I'm in the philly/DE area. I was wondering about this as well. I hate going to dealers, but its nice to know where to go just incase. Plus, I've never been in a harley dealer. only yamaha and custom shops etc..

Btw, hooters bike night on 13 is pretty good. I always went w/ my fightered R1 and it got the looks lol. hopefully if i get the buell i'll see some of you guys there.

Im over the hill in Wayne. Just got an 03 xb9s. Waiting on title from HD credit from the previous owner so we can finalize the sale and get it all registered. Love to ride with you some time in the near future.

i'm in amish land. you can bring the bike to my shop and i'll show you how to service it yourself and supply you with the oil, filters, etc to do it. of course i mark the parts up 800% so there is a catch....LOL. seriously, i can walk you thru the service if you like.
