Picking up a XB Tuesday...

Jumping on the bandwagon for good deals on Buells and tradeing in my trusty old ZRX1200R for a 09 XB12R from San Diego Buell. I'm excited and nervous at the same time but I always wanted a "keeper" bike to well.....keep. Any folks out there veiw their Buells as "keepers"? My Triumph was my keeper until a deer crossed my path.....ouch.

I'm keeping mine as long as parts don't become a pain in the ass to get. After that, I may end up with a triumph speed triple or something.

I plan to keep mine for ever. If I ever get to a point for a rebuild. I will add a big bore kit. I love my bike.

yeah, when you're buying bikes from a company, you may or may not know it, but its for keeps. I dont forsee the used market for these picking up any time soon.

I agree with brightbuell and dave, I am keeping it till I cant find parts for it. If it needs a rebuild, awesome, big bore time.

Both of my buells are keepers! I've owned many bikes& aside from my 70'motoguzzi they are all gone.eversince Buell came out with the thunderbolt, I've wanted a Buell.when the firebolts arrived I knew I would have one&it would be a life long love affair.

Augh! I have a delay! San Diego Buell was only willing to give me $1000 for my ZRX1200R as a trade in and I will not take less than $2000. So! Off to Craigs list to sell the brute there. The XB12R has been sitting there for months and I'm sure (hope) it will be there for a few more days! I sat on it and crawled all over it today waiting on word about my ZRX. I was crushed when I heard only a grand. Anything good is worth waiting for right??

Well it's not all doom and gloom. Jessie (sales Rep at SD HD) does not to the trade in there but has another guy that does that but he already has 5 sportbikes he is sitting on and will only give me a grand for my ZRX. I just posted it on craigs list so we will see what happens. Any Buell riders live in the San Diego area? Need to break this bad boy in when I get it
