Pictures or opinion Frank Parsts air scoops XB12Ss

Hi guys,

I can't seem to find a lot of pictures of the "whole bike" with a set of Frank Parts Air scoops. Planning to mount them on my XB12Ss.

Anyone have them, and what do you think about them?

They definitely look different...Do they make one for the LSS too?

I wonder if those air scoops force more air to the cylinders than stock with a 2010 right side air scoop? I kinda like the looks. Any one have a picture of the left side?

I definitely like the look, but being a "function over form" kind of guy I have to wonder how well they work.
I don't want to give up my comfort package here in AZ just to look cooler.

I just purchased a set of these. When they come in, I'll snap a picture of both sides for you. And I'll post one from the front. Maybe both sides will finally look equal. The unequal shaped scoops have bugged me for a while now.

I ordered these right before I made my last post on March 17th. They came in today. Here's some pictures of how they arrived.



I have a vacation couple days off this week. So I'll get them painted up and installed. I'll snap whatever pics anyone would like to see then.

Yeah man, cool.! I eventually bought the little bigger '10 right side scoop. Was at twinmotorcycles and he told me he wasn't very fond of the polyester and the hardner getting hot. It didn't cool as much as the stock ones, but still I love the look.

Well I guess I'll be putting these up for sale. Like a bone head I didn't read they fit the larger framed XB's like the SS's. Mine are just the regular XB frames.

Awh mannnn... Thought it said it on every website... However they do make one for normal ones, they are more square instead of rectangular.

I looked up the Paypal transaction. I have 195.59 in them. I've done nothing to them. So, they are still as shown in the pictures. If anyone wants to buy them just pm me for my paypal address. I'll pay for the shipping. At least you wont have to wait 3 weeks to get them.
