pirelli tires??

i just recently purchased a 09 xb9sx w 700 miles so it still has the stock pirelli tires on them. i want to know your imput on those tires, cuz im seriously considering replacing them w pilot road 2ct or bridgestone bto23. i just dont seem to trust the oem tires

the stock tires are great and far exceed most riders skill level.they wear out a little fast and have no wear bars in the center.after i wore mine out i switched to the dunlop qualifiers.

I hated my stock pirelli's...wore out quickly (less than 5k miles, and I don't ride that hard) and slipped more than a few times in slow corners. Got the road 2ct's now and like them a lot. Over 5k miles and they barely look used, and much better grip in the corners.

I had an 05 xb9sx and they were shod with the pirelli scorpion syncs... i liked them alot. great wet traction as well as good grip in the twisties... i got about 7800 out of the rear and near 10k out of the front.... I currently have pirelli rosso corsas on my ninja for track/aggressive riding. but they are, of course, wearing WAY quicker......i've heard good things about the road 2ct's... if you are just out cruising with the occasional twisties... i'd say that's a good choice.

I didn't like the pirellis on my xb either, I have dunlop q2s, I like these better. Ceck competition accessories web site they gave good prices and free shipping.

I got 7800 miles out of my stock pirelli diablos abd never had a problem with them. The front and the rear went at the same time.

Depends how hard you ride I guess - I'm pretty easy on them! I had no issues at all with the stock Diablo's. Got about 10,000 kms out of them, and replaced them with the same, with an awesome deal from Cyclegear.com

I'm really happy with my road 2cts. It really hasn't been warm enough to push them but the bike feels completely different than it used to...in a good way.

I went with the Corsa III's after the stockers wore out. I am the same way, I like to hit the corners hard and they handle every bit of it.
