well for 7 bucks im willing to give it a try I have seen it power washed so I think it will work. Im just worried about the bugs and if they will come off easy. If it gets messed up all i got to do it peel it off and im out a whole 7 bucks amd some time.

that does look good, post back here after you mount them and use them for a bit. i'm curious to see how they hold up!

Looks cool... Let us know how they look after you slide them into the triple trees

the bugs won't be a problem but as squid said, this will be your biggest challenge. Plastidip is durable and will repell rocks and such, but if you scrape it with metal, it'll tear pretty easily. I sprayed my centerpiece on my chin fairing and it's holding up fine.

So if you can slide them into place with little contact, they'll be good!

They look good! [up]

looks awesome can't wait to see them mounted, was thinking about doing this to my forks too since I plasti-dipped pretty much everything else I own....I like flat black

I would worry about the rubber coating causing an inefficient contact between legs and triples. If you run into trouble maybe install them, mask off the triples, then spray the legs.

i have been wanting to do this but that reason has held me back. curious as to how the install goes as well.

there is more than enough friction from the clamping force to hold those legs in place. the rubber coating will not cause them to slip.

Use some WD40 when installing, and make sure your clamps are nice and loose--you can do it...

Yea was planning on using wd-40 I also grabbed some thin plastic from work to put in the clamp to give a smoother surface. I'll have some pics up tomorrow to much going on today to get it done.

Well no scratches a extra set if hands few wooden wedges and a little time later and bam!
