**Please help, (Check engine light) came on?**

Took the bike for a spin, and about 6-7 miles in the bike done a lil shudder and the light came on. It stayed on and ran fine after that. Shut it off and checked everything without finding anything, oil/gas loose wires. Nothing? Started it back up and took it for a small 5 mile jaunt and no light??? WTH?? Thanks if u have any ideas???

Thanks but the code is not on now, so will it show up? and what the heck do I connect a Jumper Wire to? BTW whats a jumper wire, be gentle, (I not smart)

two types of codes hard and soft soft codes will turn the light but will not store in the ecm.hard code turns light on code is stored in the ecm and will require you to repair the problem to get the light off.jumper wire is just a piece of wire that is bare on both ends or has pins to insert into a connector you can use a paper clip also as long as it fits in the holes without force you dont want to spread the holes out.
