Hey all,
I've owned my 99 x1 for probably around 15 years. Rode a bunch in the earlier years but it went to side piece status since I took a job that required a longer commute. Came back to ride it after a while and the fuel pump didn't work. Ordered a replacement from Quantum Fuel Systems back in 2016 or so and it was back up and running. Then it sat for a while again and I recently went to get it back on the road only to find the pump was dead. Reached out to QFS since they put a lifetime warranty on their stuff, and after a little confusion with old order numbers I had a new pump and regulator at my house for a $15 shipping fee. I honestly expected them to tell me to pound sand after this long, but I was pleasantly surprised that they stood by their warranty. I am posting this here to share this and support them in appreciation.

I also had to model a few parts since I was having some trouble finding them in the right gasoline resistant material. I printed them with a filament called thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) which is a flexible type of filament for those that aren't into the 3d printing hobby. It's essentially the same material used in "polyurethane" suspension joints, but with 3d printing, you can make the piece with different levels of density to change the stiffness of the resulting piece.

Some of these will fit the newer models as well.
