I have a 09 12r with hawk ebr ecm k&n and breather... do to the extra fuel and air now does anyone have an opinion on different/hotter/colder spark plugs... thanks

^ those seem to be the going plugs. I have them in right now, been good so far.

I have a few pairs of a copper equivalent that's much cheaper, to try when these go out. Haven't touched it yet though.

I went with the Screaming Eagle double platinum plugs. Really cleaned up the idle and acceleration.

We have the same mods minus the EBR ECM. Both 2009 models.

does anyone know the relationship between the ones that have talked about here and the heat dif between stock ones

Had a pair of NGK 9's Platinum had bad luck with the bike running ruff with a correct gap. Turns out the porcelan part of one of the plugs cracked due to heat. Not sure if it was a manufacture flaw or incompatibility. Went back to HD 10's platinum and have not had a problem since.

E3 plugs work great.. E 3.36 or E 3.31 are for the buells... they work great and dont lose the power/mileage that ppl claim iridiums do....

I run the DCPR8EIX plugs...colder than the 9s and have had real good luck with them...summertime in NC though...little warm...definitely helped me keep from barbecuing my legs..

Jon

The stockers are 10R12A...

i run autolite 4164's in my bike. 2004 xb12r with K&N, Jardine CF RT1, breather reroute, ECMSpy tune-up. currently had them in for 3500+ miles and they've been great. 57 mpg and loads of power. I have a right side scoop, but the fan rarely comes on in temps below 80, even after shutdown. oh, and i think the plugs are $1.60/ea from autozone lol... good luck!
