BTW, i had to remake all of my parts, due to the fact that my original pieces we too over engineered, and eventually broke down due to overworking.

hey rybuell. Im very interested in the lift your creating, if you could pm me witg an eta and pricing i might be able to organise sum sales in aus and hav a few sets sent over. Would rather support u than a website. Keep me in the loop
Cheers

ry let I know from what I've seen. The SPACERS come in stainless steel.

Not sure about the particular style you are creating.

Hopefully this helps

RY if it's the same style as PM I would be interested to buy a kit from you so let me know how it turn out please.

It must have been late. I meant to say "ry, I know from what I've seen."

same here

Thanks Reds.

I have 2 styles going..the first is basically the same as the PM lift. the Second is just a spacer with a cover.

The PM style one is where I'm spending all of my time. I don think it necassarily makes a whole lot of difference what the material is out of because if you look close the rear subframe doesnt even touch the front fame area when its bolted in place..that being said...I'm open to suggestion as far as material goes. Does anyone do CAD work?

RyBuell are you still working on the spacer? the PM you are copying is the one with out the hole showing? If so I'd love to purchase a pair once you get some made.

RyBuell,
Any update on the solid tail lift pieces (similar to the ones from pM Performance)? I really want to get a set, but I am hoping you are going to be able to provide them locally and at a better price. Please let us know the status and keep me in mind when they are ready. I definitely want a set ASAP!
Thanks
Ken

Sorry for the delay of an update here: Currrently I have both sides in wood, mock-up. I still cant invest the time or money in having these machined or cast right now, so unfortunalt this is where i stop tryin to push this project forward. The other problem right now is that I just moved out to South Dakota (thats wher all my crap is) but im living in LA for the time being..so thats another problem. The wooden mock up wasnt hard at all to make, just some wood and alot of refining the design, but overall it was pretty easy. After that like I said you'ne need someine to machine them or cast them to get them into metal. I'm sorry that I wasnt able to come through on this. I plan on picking it up again for a winter project when i move permanently out to Dakota, i think it'll be a good winter project. I'd be morethan happy to answer nay questions..email me.

Depending on how many people are interested.. My dad is a CNC machinist/teacher. I have access to all the machines needed to make a set. It would take a lot of time making prototypes and fitting and programming.. Stainless is not cheap either lol. If enough people want them, I'm sure he would be willing to give it a try. My bike, xb12s, has the spacers from trojan horse. That could be the guide for the angle (if everyone is happy with that angle) I guess i would be limited to only the 12s owners, assuming the ss and 12r subframes are different (i never looked close enough at them to see) What do you guys think?

(ps. I am not trying to jack RYbuells thread or anything, just saying that if he cant do it, i might be able to)

Hello
Any recent success in purchasing tail lift form pm-performance? I've have email them twise without success. :(

I think they don't answer English emails, I have someone here that will help me writing an email in german which I think is there language and we will see.

I'm from Europe, but I wrote them in english, they answered the same day stating I should buy them from twinmotorcycles.nl, which I did. Had them 2 days later.
Maybe you can ask them if they will ship to the US. I can always try to be a middle man if not, if you trust me ofc ;)

I am currently working on the prototype for a production bolt on, single piece lift and filler bade out of 6061-T6 Billet aluminum. Should be real close soon.

I got one of these lift kits very good for the money.. Neuer Hecklifter-Kit von DCC-Germany.com

I had the tail lift from DCC-Germany.com, they're good, just not worth $100, well none of them are no matter where you buy them from.

You are basically paying $100 for 2 Fiberglass covers, 2 oversized washers, 2 bolts, and 2 nuts.

Edit: Oh did I mention "STAINLESS STEEL".

All can be bought from home depot for under $20.
