As I responded to your post, I JUST got my bike back last night and it was the ECM.. I'm wondering if i even needed a new ignition coil since the new one tested similar to the cracked one.. i think the continuity scores in the manual are ****** up.. gonna get ecmspy and see if that helps me diagnose this stuff in the future.. should cut out at least SOME of the guesswork. either way though, if you wanna change the wires that's easy enough, mine were EXACTLY like you described but i have a feeling new after market wires would be easier to get on and off so that you would feel more comfortable about them being on nice and snug.
