popping sound from front brake

I have am 03 xb9r and I have a loud clicking sound coming from my front brake only under moderate braking, it doesn't do it under light braking or heavy braking, I had the rotor off yesterday and knocked the glazing off and did the same with the pads and still no change any ideas as to what might be causing it or of something else I can try before buying a new rotor and pads?

I wouldn't buy new pads and rotors... My guess would be in the mounting hardware or springs on the rotor. A few guys on here have had similar issues and supposedly had excessive brake dust in the holes on the rotor.

The front rotor is the "floating" type with a tension spring under each mounting bolt. There are mounting kits available that don't include the springs and i've read good reviews about it. Try searching this site and you'll find more details. Hope it works out.
