Just got assigned to Bamberg Germany for Aug 2012 waiting on orders now. Trying to get what ever I can sold so that my wife and I can get as much cash as possible to purchase a vehicle over there and limit bills we have. The bike has clean title is blue and White with K&N filter , hawk performance muffler, 1125r mirrors, HID 35w headlights, led turn signals, new shinko rear tire, axle sliders, comes with front and rear work stands and all parts that have been taken off and replaced with aftermarket parts. bike has 7,200 miles currently. Any advice on what this would be worth would be much appreciated. Looked up on kbb, retail is set at 6,005 with average miles for 2009 at 11,XXX.

6k would be a great, but I don't know if you'll get that much for it. There's an '09 1125CR with 2.9k miles for 6k on the forum right now...

P.S. - how do you like the 1125 mirrors compared to the stockers?

I'm just trying to get what I can for it, I will already be taking a loss on it but as far as the mirrors go if you do the mod definitely get or make spacers. The turn signals on them are great and bright but kinda hard to see out of since they arent pushed out far enough.

If at all possible take it with you. The roads are amazing. Lived in Weisbaden for 2 1/2 years and would have killed to have any bike over there. If you cant take the buell I would look for just a cheepo to ride. Good luck in Germany and thanks for serving. You will love it over there.

problem is my wife and I are going to see about buying a vehicle over there and ship it back here when we come back. The military will only ship one vehcicle and I don't want the bike to sit outside if we don't get a place with a garage over there. What to do, What to do.

The bike is considered household goods. Won't count officially as shipping a vehicle. It will just count against your total weight. I have known shippers that will put the bike in the plywood crate and pack the bike in tight. You just have to drain the fluids and remove the battery. Don't worry too much about getting a car over there. The service members have cars that they sell cheap when they leave or you can even find a free "parking lot" car, keys are in it, with the paperwork for you to go register and insure. Like an automotive lost and found.

I just talked to a buddy that is PCSing to Hawaii, the shipping company instructed him to drain the gas, disconnect the battery, and tape over the battery leads. Thats it.:)

Other problem I run into is how much it will cost to insure it in Germany. just to insure my truck would run almost 300 a month I don't even want to know what it would be for a bike.

Selling in Germany shouldn't be that much of a problem and you could possibly get more money for it.

8-8.5k with trailer is a sweet deal!

selling bike with front and rear workstands, and all stock parts that have been replaced with aftermarket for 6400. Thanks for the advice everyone. Still got a trailer for sale here in Fayetteville, NC if anyone is looking for one. Its already setup for bike and has rack for hanging jackets and helmets with shelf built in front of V-nose.
