I Will be purchasing a new Lightning XB12Scg in cherrybomb in the next few months and was just curious as to how much people have been paying to get there's.That is if you don't mind sharing that info with us. I have four Buell dealers within 20 miles of my home and I sent them all e-mails today asking them to give me there best deal. 2 responded so far. One wont give a quote unless it's in person. The other quoted me $10,495.00 US + $680.00 freight and set-up and 150.00 documentation fee minus a $1,000.00 discount. I still have to pay tax, title and license fee's. I'm still waiting for a response from the other 2 and I need to stop in by the one dealer to get a quote. I'm curious as to whether this sounds like a good price or not with the economy the way it is. Thanks ahead of time to those that respond:D

$1,000 discount? sounds like its a 08. When I bought my 07 bolt in April of 08, they gave me $2,000 off of MSRP. $2,000 is what you should expect to pay for taxes, freight, and licensing on top of selling price. You wouldn't by chance be in the Bay Area would you?

I'm actually from Milwaukee. and I thought the price was sorta high for the way the economy is right now. It was an e-mail quote so I will just use it as a starting point for negotiations. They dont have any Scg's in cherrybomb in stock and they are getting an 09 in in Febuary. I work second shift so I will have plenty of time to go around to the local dealers and play them against each other. thanks for the input:)

Im in Milwaukee also. Bought my 08 at Hal's in May of 08. I paid MSRP plus set up, freight, title etc... I couldn't get them to budge, nor did I really try. Im an impatient person so I just bought the dam thing. I did get them to throw in 1 free oil change and the 1000k service.

I paid MSRP, which was 10700$ here in Canada in Sept, on mine too the only thing I could get for free was my regular S seat.

the total for my 09 including tax, title, and license was 11,500. i bought it in sept

Wow i wonder how much its gonna cost for me to get one when i get around to it. Doesnt help im in hawaii, and theres only one dealer on my side of the island.

Hal's is the dealer that quoted me a price. House of Harley/Buell said I would need to stop in. Havn't heard nothing from Racine Harley/Buell or Suburban Harley/Buell. You would think in this economy they would of atleast sent a response of some sort.
Hey Boney, we'll have to go riding sometime when I get my bike. Have you been on a tour of the Buell plant yet? My cousin works there and she will be taking me through this spring.
Thank's for all the input and I'll let you know what my final price is.
