Primary cover temp

I recently went down and cracked my primary. I got a new one and installed it today. everything is great, no leaks. My only question is the cover seems to get very hot, i cant remember if it always has or is something not right?
the clutch feels the same and response is the same, Am I just paranoid?

Even with full synthetics, mine still gets pretty freakin' hot. Probably just didn't notice it before.

thanks, your right. before I was running royal purple and when i refilled put in syn3, that could of made a small difference, but probley never paid attention to how hot it was. In addtion I noticed a big differance between the two oils. with royal purple the shifting was a lot smoother and easier, just fyi
