primary paint

as some of you may know i recently crashed my bike and ruined the primary cover. i got a new one although its not the same color. it came off a 04 which is a greyish color. i had a black one and was wondering what people have used to closely match the color and texture. any suggestions? i have thought about using truck bed liner but i want to hear people thoughts before i paint it. thanks -Tim

The spray can bed liner worked perfectly for my subframe and tail. Matches the black textured frame perfectly!

i am looking for something that matches the cam side cover. i have a custom paint job on the rest of the bike but i would like the primary cover to match the cam side cover. thanks pockets!

It will be hard to match, and make sure you prep it properly since the paint will wear off next to the shift peg. I had mine powder coated and it still left some wear. Since the primary heats up, you might want to try to color match it to the frame or just go with a semi gloss black with a heat paint.
