Has anyone installed the Buell Pro Series Suspension kit? I have been looking for some info and feedback on it all over the internet with no luck.

Also can the front fork springs be changed without replacing the fork oil and pulling apart everything? In other words can you simply unscrew the cap pull the spring out and slide the new one in? [confused]

You COULD, but it would be really unwise. You need to ensure that there is a very specific and even amount of fork oil in each side, and by pulling out the previous spring and installing a new one, you would most certainly be changing the fork oil level. Your best bet is to drain the oil, replace the springs, and put it back together again ala the service manual.

There'd be no point in purchasing the pro series suspension kit if you're not going to do it right.

you have to use a spring compressor to get the spring out though. this would be pretty difficult to do while on the bike. and once you have it that far apart replacing the oil is easy. if you have it apart you might as well change the seals and bushings as they are pretty cheap.

edit: unless your bike has low miles then i would leave the seals alone

i would change the seals and bushings at that mileage if you had it apart already. one of mine leaked at 19k so i took it apart to change the oil seal. I also did the bushings, the teflon was worn off about half way so it was a good decision imo.

its at the point where if you take it apart you might as well rebuild but if you dont mess with it then it would also be fine.
