For most collector cars, there is published somewhere on the web, a list of production numbers, showing how many of each model/color/etc. were produced each year; and a spotter's guide listing changes for each year/model, making it possible to identify a particular machine.
I know that Buell has only recently ceased production, but I believe that it will reach collector status in a relatively short time. Has anyone published, or considered assembling a comprehensive compendium of such useful information for our machines?

I Know the XB12scg has low production numbers but mine is a 2010 and is vin. #00001 do you think it makes it worth more and or has has made it to collector status just because of the vin.# any input would help alot.

I believe that; because Buells were a short-lived, unique subset from a manufacturer which has spawned many collectable and special interest machines over the years, because they have a “cult following”, and because the are, as the tag line says, “different in every sense”; they will, at some point in the not too distant future, be recognized and giving their due respect. I believe that the machines and their history and provenance should be preserved.

Generally, early examples of a given machine are special only if they have some unique characteristic that was changed later in production.

Williegoat, i hope your right about being recognized because Harleys " fire sale pricing " sure hasn't helped. It sucks to owe more on your bike than what the books say it's worth due to H-D logic. THANK GOD i have gap on both my bikes.

the scg have a slightly higher bule book value than the others but i dought first one for 2010 would be worth more maybe the last buell off the production line would be
