A while back I ordered some LED bulbs to replace the incandesant dash backlights but haven't had the ambition to pull everything apart to change them out. Today the heated grips I ordered were being delivered so I decided to dive in and finally change them out.

Here is the before:

...and the after:

The heated grips I ordered were the Buell ones, I know you can get aftermarket grips for far less but I really like the fact that these are fully integrated and just plug right into the existing harness.

Manchester Harley had them for $203 and that was about $45+ less than any other places I looked. Here is the link if anyone wants it:

Did you do the oil, neutral, chuck engine and hi-beams? I read some ware not to replace those but would like to if its possible .

I bought a ten pack of the LEDs, so since I had enough I tried them in the indicator lights but they looked odd. The diodes are square and you could clearly tell that when lit, plus the Neutral light stayed lit, though slightly dimmed, while in gear. So I just put the regular bulbs back in.

When I left my house at 5:50 this morning it was 45°, I was wearing my Icon 29er gloves, which are mesh, and the grip heaters kept my hands toasty warm the whole way, including a 10 mile stretch of I95 where my lowest speed was 80mph

I really like the heated grips on my Uly, but I hate the grips themselves. Mine are like a hard plastic and Im used to soft rubber. Need to find a way to fix this.
