I have the race oval air cleaner on my M2 and after riding for a while the side of the bike is covered in oil. It seems to be coming from my air filter. Does antone know how to fix this? The oil seems to be collecting in the air cleaner cover and blowing back.

I had that problem on my carbed s3 I took the head breather out of the intake track pluged the hole on the backing plate ran a longer rubber line with a K&N breather filter.

I think I understand what you did. Where did you end up running the hose to when finished? If you have any pictures that would be appreciated.

I don't have any pictures. What I did is ran the two hoses coming from the heads to a t-fitting then ran a hose from that T behind the air cleaner forward to a small bracket that I made and bolted it to the front motor mount where the little arm that sticks out for the stock breadbox air cleaner. Then I put a k&n breather filter on it. Sorry I know my description sucks.

If you what send me your email address and I'll pull the air cleaner off and send you some pictures. [email protected]

Post up here if you can/want Aaron, might help out others with similar problems on down the road.

I haven't a chance to put one on yet,I just wanted a quick fix to the oil mist all over my right leg. This helped I start to see a little mist buildup on the front of the air cleaner after 800 miles or so.

here's a few pictures and a catchcan idea

Edited for Pic Placement

the far left tube goes to the rear head the middle short tube goes to the front head the far right tube goes to the breather filter

all are open tubes nothing is plugged i used everthing that came on the bike besides the longest piece of tube i stoled off my 93 saturn the filter is the only thing i had to buy.

I finally got everything rerouted. It's so nice not having to wipe the bike off every time I stop. Thanks so much for the help.
