A couple of weeks ago I put a new CF Jardine on my 12Ss. The sound was good but when it started to fill my helmet and rattle my brain it drove me nuts. I noticed I lost some bottom end but never knew how much till I put the stock pipe back today. Went for a ride tonight and I love it more than ever.

The Jardine is for sale if anyone wants it. Only 500km on it. $350.00 plus shipping.

Yeah I had done the samething. Only thing different is, I sold the Jardine RT-1 and replaced it for the Buell Race Kit instead and love it

Ebay has them for 378$ brand new. If 350$ doesn't sell I bet if you droped the price a bit it might. I know it's pretty new but with items like exhaust's, new is worth the 30$ more. Just because of unkown factors. At least that's how I feel.

Just trying to help.:)

Did you need a jack to get the stock exhaust back on? Must have added 30Lbs to the bike:p

The jardine does not have the valve.

Never needed a jack to get it back on. To be honest I never noticed the weight change on the bike. Hard to sell it much cheaper but I am open for offers or trades. It cost be 670.00 Canadian 3 weeks ago.

I was joking about the jack:p

I hear ya, it's hard giving up product cheap when you just paid so much for it. More or less I was saying times are hard and people are looking for deals.

Well the way I look at it if someone has something to offer that I want you never know. I am looking for a right side air scoop, some Pazzo levers....

I'm gonna have to get my stock exhaust painted this weekend and install it. I've had the Jardine on the bike since I bought it and have no idea what I'm missing. I did make my own "quiet insert", and it really sounds nice. I always wear earplugs when I ride, so the sound doesn't bother me anyway.

No, I didn't use a jack to swap from the Jardine to the Buell Factory Race Muffler. I used my Race Motorcycle Rear Tire Stand and some cardboard to go underneathe my bike while I'd lay on the concrete. Pretty easy swap.

Does it have the exhaust butterfly valve?

Meaning, two outlets on the exhaust? Yes, the Buell Race Mufflers come factory that way.

I love my exhaust. Superb item

I just swapped my CF jardine for a Buell race exhaust and am really pleased with the result. The bike runs a smoother and has more low end and the fact that its not quite as loud really is nice on longer rides.

Finally got my stock exhaust installed over the weekend. Word to the wise - put the sidestand back on BEFORE you install the muffler! [mad] I had to remove it because the Jardine has a bracket that installs under the sidestand and thought I'd just leave it off until I got the stock muffler installed. Well, with the stock muffler, you can't get the sidestand bolts started.....GRRRR!

Anyway, I started it up to go ride and had to check if I left a rag stuffed in the muffler somewhere.[confused] Jeezus, it was quiet! It also sounded just like the Kohler V-Twin on my Cub Cadet tractor....[sad] OK, maybe a little better than that.

So, out for a ride I went, sans earplugs. It took a little while for the ECM to adjust to the pipe again, but once she was all warmed up it ran great. Bottom and midrange torque are definitely improved, top end about the same. It "feels" slower because it's so much quieter, but the lack of fatigue from the noise is a nice change. Definitely will be a nicer steed for longer trips.

I did the same thing with the side stand....I think I invented a few new words. I am loving the bike way mor with the stock pipe back on......now if I could only sell the Jardine..........come on guys make me some offers....you might be surprised

I'll do an even trade for a right side air scoop if anyone has one for the XB12Ss. Thats a pretty good deal
