Well I bought my first Buell May 27 of this year. It is a 2007 with only 2300 miles on the clock. Road the shit out of the bike this Summer. Well it made me sad but I pulled it in to storage tonight with a little over 16k miles on it...

I have never owned a bike that I would want to put 14 thousand miles on in one season before this one. It ran perfect from day one never giving me any problems. When I bought the bike I wasn't to sure I even wanted it but 14k miles later I can tell you its my favorite bike and maybe my favorite of all time.... Ok definatly my favorite of all time. Bike is bone stock maybe next year it will get some mods but I doubt it! Anyone that doesn't have a buell take it from me the biggest harley hater in the country! These bike are great. Anyway just thought I would post up I was a little sad winterizing my motorcycles today that another riding season is over. Btw I currently have 5 other street bikes besides the Ulysses and not a single one had a full tank of gas ran through it since I bought the ULY. The dirt bikes saw plenty of use this summer thought!

Awesome post! That's how I feel with mine, only had my bolt for a week and have a couple hundred miles on it already. Had to make a couple service calls for my shop and I just loaded a backpack full of tools to take with me instead of taking my truck lol. I've had alot of other bikes but besides my first (a sportster), I've never wanted to ride one near as much. 14K is alot of miles for a season! Where are you located?

Still riding my XB9R on the days that I have off that are above 40F. Untill the temp. here in Wisconsin is steadily below 40 that's what I'm done haha.

I guess I have been riding to long to want to ride in the cold! I have been thinking of buying some heated gear and doing some winter trips. I did on last year on another bike but didn't have good gear and was miserable. Oh and I am in utah

Mine was sadly put away a month ago due to getting a puncture in the rear tire. Went out for a ride came home parked the bike and when i went out to the garage an hour later the tire was completely flat. Only had 2,000 miles on that tire. Oh well time for winter mods and to switch from dual sport tires to something better.

Ok definatly my favorite of all time

i hear ya juice. the Uly is one ridiculously fun bike. i don't know where you're located or how brutal your winters are but i can tell ya that a quality heated vest from an outfit like aerostich,a thin gor-tech type head cover, and a set of heated grips on your Uly will actually make 45 degree riding days pretty comfortable. just something to think about.

Winterizing my bike means putting on extra layers of riding gear. The only time it stays parked is when there's ice/snow on roads.

Last year I picked the only really cold week of the year to do a ride through escelante, zion, fish lake , devils backbone area. I had a regular coat on and NONE of the right gear. Low temps on the ride were in the 20's My friend had all the heated gear and he seemed pretty happy. This year I bought a nice coat but nothing else yet.

My bike has had her dose of fuel stabilizer been sprayed done with pig spit and is nice r cozy in her cycle vault. I also dropped the insurance to storage that means no insurance payment for a few months!!!! I will have to get her out at some point to put my new dash on and finally got my header heat shield!!!!

Anyone have a line on easy fit heated grips for the Uly. I haven't really researched, they're everywhere for stuff like my dresser.

Juice you sound just like me! I hate HDs with a passion. so tired of being woken up by "loud pipes saves lives" crap. anyway I love my uly. it has also beocme my favorite "Street" bike ever. went back and for a few time before getting an 07 with 2500 miles on the clock, but now I smile every time I take it out. so much fun. good choice and enjoy.
