Might be soot, my white wheels rarely get cleaned because they don't need it. Now I also do not use the rear brake that hard. I have the stock exhaust.

Now if ok want a better muffler, there is a special ops muffler on ebay about to end soon I think tomorrow for cheap (as of now).

People warned me that white wheels get dirty quick, hard to keep clean, and hard to clean. I disagree, only complaint I have is my brand new SKF bearings throwing grease all over the front wheel.

Here is my rear wheel, who knows the last time I washed it...
