I've been searching through the threads and can't find this specific answer, so here goes.

I want bar end mirrors. I've used them on my Triumph and love them. My question is two fold actually:

1. Do I need 7/8 or 1" bar ends?
2. Are the handle bars on my Firebolt threaded at the end? Or are they hollow? I need to know if I'll be able to attach bar ends, or if I should look for mirrors with bar ends, etc.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

If i remember right you would want 7/8 and no there not threaded. American sportbike sells bar end adapters an mirrors.

I ordered bar end mirrors, grips, and levers. I'll post a write up once they arrive. Thanks again for the help amigos!

Bar end mirrors installed. I bought the cheapo ones offline and they work great! $19.99 for the set. I did have to modify them slightly to fit. Nothing huge, but I wrapped the inserts in electrical tape (I'd read about that trick here somewhere) and then inserted and expanded for fit. Over 300 miles with them so far and no problems. I run these on my Triumph as well and really prefer them. To address the "holes" left open by the OEM mirrors, I just stopped by the local hardware store and grabbed some button heads that matched the screws on the windscreen. Can't tell the difference IMO.

Here's a couple pics. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hmmmm, I might have to do this, my original ones keep moving about at speed :)

I have the same white/blue bike. If you want really trick looks get mirror block-off plates and paint them matching white. You will not be disappointed.

I'm gonna try something a little different in that area. Just bought some of these...

Basically, I'm going to replace the bolts that I installed (not shown in the pics) and use these as running lights. THey probably won't be horribly bright, or obnoxious, but I'll see how it works out and I'll post pics as well!

Also, where did you get the block off plates? Or did you make them?

American Sport Bike carries mirror block off plates. I wish I had a picture for you. Painted to match the bike really looks slick, especially with bar end mirrors. I think I got mine from Trojan Horse but my 61 year old brain ain't workin' like it used too. I also replaced my windshield with a dark smoke Zero Gravity unit, the bike looks great. That blue shield was alittle too much for me.

If you don't mind, where did you get the mirrors? I've been looking at the Ride It Moto levers (and grips that are included) and would like to find mirrors to go along with them. It looks like that is exactly what you did and it looks great! Thanks.

Heck yeah amigo. Still working on that bad boy too. Working on the reassemble now. All parts painted and or powder coated. I just couldn't miss out on the riding season so I jumped on this Buell. Never leave my fighter behind!

If you aren't using your stock mirrors anymore. You can use them as block offs. Just remove the bolt that holds the mirror to the mount. Then you a cutting wheel and sanding discs to take the mirror mount hole down smooth and paint them
