G'day Guys

Looking for an exhaust. Something affordable.

I want to improve the sewing machine type noise that the bike currently have however I want to remain quiet enough to keep out of the local pigs sights.

ive heard the jardine is quite loud.

can anyone reccomend the quietest between the

hmf
fmf
saron
barker

a removable quiet insert would be good.

cheers

also anyone got any thoughts on the EBR racing ECU?

worth getting?

i am guessing since i have yet to get mine but barker with the quite core.
never herd of the saron. google searches

I havent heard most of them in person, I have the FMF on my bike, and it is louder, but doesnt come close to the D&D pipe in loudness. I have set off a few car alarms, but I dont think the sound did that as much as the vibration did.

as far as the EBR ECM, I have one of those too, and all I have really noticed with it is making the bike a bit less lean when you have an exhaust other than stock on it.

cool.

the fmf is at the top of my list atm. i just like the style and it seems to have the nicest "youtube" sound.

did yours come with the quiet insert? and are you using it?

how much did it set you back if you dont mind me asking im trying to find the best price on one that will ship to OZ.

Cheers
Ben

my mechanic told me that the ecm for pump gas with freeflow filter and aftermarket exhaust is really noticable i will probably be getting one soon as i can ride again damn snow

Seems a shame to run a cork in a nice free flowing exhaust system! The FMF dose have a quiet insert, If you look in the cr section I posted up some pics.

well ive since found i can buy a HMF pipe and a K&n filter cheaper than the fmf... so my natural manly cheapness is going to head that way.

Ill probably also get the EBR ecu. i figure. whats a few hundred bucks more if it means its gonna run right.... hopefully it dosent surge as much at low rpms after all this

well ive just ordered the HMF + K&n just because i could get the both of them cheaper than the HMF.

Ill see how loud it is and then maybe make / buy a quiet insert.

Im just trying to buy a USB->ecm cable now and then ill be buying the Ohiosportbike tuning software

i just ordered the software... i cbf waiting and theres only 1 that should go with aust delivered models. lol. so lazy.

Im pretty happy with the price of everything.

the osb seems to provide allot of functionality for less price than a generic Power commander would that you would not be able to change the tune without a dyno tech.

BTW buying from over your neck of the woods (even with delivery and dodgy paypal conversion rates)

I got the pipe + k&n + OSB tuner for $800AUD.

in Aus the RRP for a jardine alloy slipon (the cheapest one) is $1199 AUD but can be found for as little as $6-700. still. its allot of kit for the money.

wow tuner software arived today. Super quick delivery to OZ and no extra charge for delivery even though it cost em more than $5 to send

the hardest part of the s/w for me was seting it up on my computer... the directions are good but I just suck at computer teck stuff...

This is Randy with Hawk Performance i do the mods on the XB mufflers. In 2 or 3 weeks i will be doing mods for the 1125R and 1125CR mufflers . ;)

Its true... I'm a mechanical person... I do suck at spelling, grammar, etc. But I can ride a sweet ass wheelie on my Buell! [up]

Randy, I'm not really familiar with your work but are you making a slip on or modding the stock can?

Got pics of what your doing randy? I might get the bakers exhaust. How long till you complete a pipe mod on the 1125's?
