race ecm on a bike with exhaust valve

does the race ecm allow the controller on top of the air box to be removed or do i need to to get the plug to lie to the computer? its on an 08 xb12stt. thanks for any info

You can also disable the servo CEL and mechanism using TunerPro if you'd prefer not to spend $250 for a race ECM.
