Will a Race ECM from an 09 work on my 06?
Trying to figure out if my Race ecm is fried, and found an
ECM from an 09 local I can get .

No. not without a lot of work! Your ECM has two 12-pin connectors, and 2008+ ECMs have two 34-pin connectors.

The Ecm the Guy has, has two twelve pin connectors
the numbers on it is Y0162 08AH and MX9Pa22i

Aaaah. In this case, 09 must mean XB9, and 06 means 2006? wow. Yes, that race ECM should work, assuming you have a 2006 XB9, lol.

FYI: MX9Pa22i is for 2005-2007 XB9 models with the Buell factory race exhaust and K&N filter. I don't recognize that Y0162.08AH part#, though.

Just the Part number for XB ECM. The other number is the tune from EBR.

It could have been modified through it's journey though, no way to tell unless you have maps memorized

Ok just talked to the guy again, and now he says that his bike was an 07. He has the receipt from EBR showing he bought it from them last year. But I still need to know if i can run it in my 12. I think I have a bad ECM and am needing a new ECM (race). I am thinking I freid my ECM when I had to jump my bike when it was dead after work.

Thanks for the help so far!!
