I have never been so happy to see FedEx!

About a year ago I found a NIB Buell Race muffler. I have been sitting on it looking for the elusive race header to match.

Albert666 whipped this one up for me and now I essentially have a brand spankin new race system!

Thanks Albert666! Quality is top notch sir!!!

I was going to ceramic coat it black but... its so purdy!

I have never heard one in person but can't wait too.

My Hawk didn't "rattle" but definitely has a crisp, sharp tone. Thinking this will be a little thumpier. Doubt it will be as "punch you in the face" thumpy as your Jardine. Damn that thing thumps.

Looks awesome[up] i can't wait to see it on your bike. i really like Albert's work.

Looks f***ing sweet but I do hope there are flanges on the header pipes to mount it to your engine at the exhaust valves.

Flanges? We don't need no stinking flanges! Instead of reusing my old ones I may just order new ones. Prolly do new studs and retainers too just for shits n giggles. And new gaskets of course.

Holy tuber exhaust grail.. Michael, that is simply gorgeous! man, I wouldn't coat that.. let it go golden and maintain it from there like the rest of us. That Albert is an artisan, wow.. I cant see one imperfection! something tells me that "race-can" is going to talk to you a bit more than the hawk :D[up]

I am curious about the sound difference too. The Hawk is more like a Flowmaster in its design and the Race Muffler is like a glass pack. Should sound similar to Jardine, V&H or D&D or any of the other straight throughs with packing.

Regardless of sound I am curious about performance with the race ecm. Other than a ham can I essentially have the factory "race kit".

The custom tune I have been running is adequate but... I think it could be better. I am sure I will end up tweaking the race maps a bit but it should be a damn fine starting point.

I think you are right... as much as I think a black header would look awesome.. I will leave it alone.

Much louder than the V&H as I have both. You will need to repack the Race Muffler about every 5 years. Sounds great and about the same power and carb. re-jetting as the V&H.

Yippee-ki-yay mutha thumper!

Interesting... This set-up is quieter than my Hawk and stock header at an idle and low RPMs... But when you get on it... uhhh... yeaaaa... waking up the dead.

Got a little burp at low RPM but above 4k it is a monster.

I will post up comparison videos in a few. Gotta eat!
