I'm thinking of doing a track event and was looking into getting a decent 1 or 2 piece suit but can't seem to find anything in my size.
I went to cycle gear but they had nothing for me.
I'm thinking either Dainese or Alpine Stars or maybe Icon if they make it.

Anyone know where i should be looking?
I am 5'9" 125Lbs with a size 29 waist in jeans.

Am i screwed trying to find a one piece suit that is affordable and has good protection from a top brand?

5'9... 125 lbs... Try looking at female sizing, or may I suggest some:

wiznut, LOL, i can't help it....call it bad genes or good ones! I eat a ton of fast food and have not really gained any weight since i stopped growing 10 years ago!

I thought about the female suits but the cuts are all wrong...
one person also suggested looking into finding something from across the pond where people are smaller and skinnier....

Every been checked for a tape worm :p

But really... another option is to find a local seamstress that can work with leather and just have whatever suit you want tailored to you. I wouldnt imagine it costing more than $100 to have it done.

He's looking for help guys, try going to a companys website like Joe Rocket, look at there sizing chart, find your weight and height, waist size in the chart and it will tell you what size is for you.For the money,I would check out the Joe Rockets on eBay,look for the one piece race suit the GPX type R,great suit and it's going for $385 or best offer,I would offer $350 and it's $18 for shipping, great deal, the suit goes for over $500 retail. You could check your size with any name brand this way but will not find one for the same price as the Joe Rocket.Hope this helps

Forgot,if you want to drop some coin,go to Johnson Leather in SF,they will custom make you a suit. This is where all the CHP get there jackets from,if this does not work, duct tape and bubble wrap

Thanks guys! I will give those links a shot and see what works for me!
Hopefully I can go racing soon. [up]

Motorcyclegear.com, what used to be NewEnough
I'm about the same size little more lbs
I found last yrs model A* in a 48 dirt cheap.
Try a 46 and if anything a little loose makes it so much easier to get in and out of them.

This is a good entery level suit

Don't forget you need room for padded shorts, chest and spin protector.
I also recommend you get a cycle skin it's like under armor jump suit.
I am 6'3 165 call and talk to stg those guys are great with helping you get safely on the track. Knoxx back and chest is what I bought with Bohn under shorts.
I wouldn't by an off brand technic has good stuff aswell but litraly you need it to protec your ass

And that was my reason for going with the 48.
I could have prob fit the 46, but not with gear.
My Chest n Back protector tighten up the suit just enough to where I can just twist my torso slightly.

And absolutely +1 on the under armor or cycle skin underneath, unless u have a gf that is willing to help.
My last track day was cold enough i needed the ua cold gear n insulated gloves.

i got a green and white set that would fit you, maybe a little big in the waist. im 6'1 135lbs and its just a bit too short and big in the waist. email me at [email protected] and i send you some pics. its a 2 piece ama drag racing suit only used once.
