Ive got a 2007 xb12r firebolt i think i ran out of fuel 20ks on the the fuel trip gauge bike stopped. lucky i was 50 meters from a petrol station, pushed it in fueled up and then tried to start it and nothing
anyone got any ideas. it doesnt turn over at all push the starter and it does nothing. help![confused]

It's happened to me before. My brother brought me gas and it still wouldn't start. Pushed it bout 15 blocks home. Thought I'd give it another shot at starting and it fired right up [confused] twas an 06 sv650 though

Check your fuel pump fuse. Out fuel pumps rely on the fuel in the tank to keep them cool. When you run it out of fuel the pump gets hot and will pop a fuse in an attempt to not destroy itself.

Guys lets not send him on a wild goose chase till he checks the fuel pump fuse. His problem has been well documented on this and other sites. Its a fact that our bikes do not like having the fuel pump starved and run dry.......they get super hot and blow the fuse if your lucky. If you make a habbit of doing this you are gaurantieeing your self a fuelpump failure in the future as these and most fuel pumps MUST have fuel to help keep them cool.

I missed the "Does nothing at all" part. If there isnt even a click noise at the starter let alone turning over id say start with the charging system.....IE. the stator, voltage regulator, and Battery. Its possable the stator crapped out and caused the bike to run of the Battery till it went dead.

First things first..........Check the batt and conections.

dosnt the pre 08 modles use the ign and fuel pump on the same fuse? grey wire to ign relay then to main fuse.i know the 03,04 and 05 are that way.

cheers guys for your replies ive checked the battery plenty of charge. now it seems to be something electrical i turn on the ignition key headlights come on no lights on dash except hi beam indicator and turn signals dont work. how do i know if a fuse is blown thanks

sorry i ment the relays how do i know if thats the problem i checked the fuses and accessories one was blown hence the turn signals and dash display changed the fuse still no ignition the relays on the left of the dash are key relay ignition relay and start switch relay can you tell if thay are stuffed just by looking at them
