Rear Axle removal...

So I'm the third owner of this blast after 4,500 miles the dunlops are done. Got the new tires in and stands, got the front off, but the rear axle is being a stubborn beast. Ive got the maintenance manual and been following it, but it just says that the axle should slide out easily, while mine is stuck there, turns but wont slide out. Ive put a block on the end and tried to force it out but that didnt work either. Any thoughts?

Did you loosen the pinch bolt on the right side of the swingarm?? It is underneath and in front of the axle.

Is love for a pinch bolt to be the problem right now... But there isn't even one on the blast swingarm

Lift up on the wheel a little and the axle should slide out

Should slide out. I suspect the bearings have corroded to the axle. Some WD40 there let sit give it a couple wack and wiggle a bunch. Good luck just work at it

this is after some liquid wrench and some 'mechanical agitation' ... now to scrub rinse repeat until shiny.
