I think it depends on the year and swing-arm model. I believe there have been 3 swing-arm revisions since '04, and the lightning long (and possibly uly) has a longer swing-arm than the standard lightning or firebolt. BUT a same year lightning with a standard swing-arm should have a matching rear mud-rubber guard, and there is always the chance that the rear fender mounting is always the same because the attachment screw placement is always the same.
