Rear LED light

can anyone help with thw part number for the rear white LED lamp for a 2010 CR. No dealer in the UK has a 2010 parts book so cannot identify.

All other model year bikes are equipped with different mating connector(s) and will require reterminating the wires for your specific bike.

Easy mod, just cut the connector off the tail light and put three spade connectors on it and plug it in. The only thing it doesnt have is a license plate light, you will have to order that from HD.

@Red93stang - I just ordered one of these. Do you know what gauge/size spade connector I'll need? I'm planning to pick a few up from Fry's, but I'm not familiar with their sizing.

The small ones, with the red insulators. I don't remember the gauge. If you get the 2010 tail light, you'll be well advised to pull the metal terminals out of the plastic plug, and crimp onto those, instead of cutting the wire, which is pretty fine gauge. I figured the connections would be more durable that way.

Thanks, Baal! The tail light arrives Tuesday (it is a 2010) so I'll give your suggestions a try. I think the clear tail light will look a lot better on a red bike.

@anrkizm95: Thanks! The red ones I found were actually 22-18 AWG, .250 tab connectors:

I found those exact ones at Fry's Electronics for $1.99. They worked perfectly - I just:

- cut off the white connector on the 2010 LED tail light (I couldn't figure out how to easily pull out the wire ends),
- stripped the wires with an automatic stripper,
- crimped one of these tab connectors to each wire end,
- wrapped a little electrical tape around where the red sleeve surrounded each wire (for a little extra water protection), and
- installed the tail light on the bike.

The 2010 LED tail light's wire colors match those on the 2009 CR's harness exactly - black, orange/yellow, and orange/white, so I just matched them up. These tabs fit so well that they actually clicked into place when I inserted them in the stock connector.
