Rear stand width?

Hey, alright so before anyone bites my head off and tells me to use the search function I just spent 20 damn minutes trying to find this. Ok, so I found a rear wheel stand a guy was selling on craigslist, but I remember someone saying that any old stand wont work and that it has to be a certain width between the two lifts points to work. What is that width? Thanks.

I'm not sure of the exact width but I have these stands and they work on my Buell XB and GSXR 750 just fine. They are the paddick style instead of the spools which I like alot better

I believe it is 14 1/4 inch give or take an 1/8th inch. Hope this helps.

Yeah, Thanks firechicken, the one I found on craigslist was only 13in. wide so I had to pass, would have been a sweet deal though, the guy only wanted $30 bucks for it.
