Hey Guys,

comming home from work Friday my 07' Firebolt starts doing these wierd 6"swerves at about 70mph. Get home and see the right wheel bearing is done. cage hanging out ball bearings missing.

Does anyone have the bearing part nubers? I want to cross reference them and get quality bearings at a local bearing house near work.

Thanks, Joe

Don't know off hand but you can download the service manual and get them in there I'm sure, I think there is a link to the manual at the top of the page somewhere. Or call harley.

SKF #6006 2RSJEM, that is the rears for my '08 Uly,
might as well change the fronts while you are at it
SKF #6005 2RSJEM for fronts
$8-10 apiece for fronts
$12-14 apiece for the rears

Um... yeah really good idea, one of the fronts was on its way out also. When up on the stands and spinning the wheel you couldn't tell but once the axle was out you could feel the peen marks in the bearing. The rear fell apart and the axle tube ground on the bearing regester in the wheel. I got lucky.

This is an 07' and came from the factory with Korean rear bearings and Tiawanese front bearings, bummer. German bearings are going in this afternoon.

It has just over 16k miles. So just consider the country of origin of your bearings the next time you are doing a buck twenty on the back road.
Last week I took off the Jardine RT-1 and installed the fully modified stock muff and it is amazing that you can hear other noises on the bike besides BBLLLAAAA. I actually new something was going on, If the Jardine was on I wouldn't have heard crap. Anyways I will start a thread on my chambered exhaust mod with pic's and sound soon.
