I was working at the dragstrip this weekend and there was a few cars sponsered by Red Line Oil. I was talking to the racers about them and they have a V-Twin line up, I found out they have a package deal (I'll add the link at the bottom). After talking to them, I would be able to get it for $62 for the package. A bit pricey yeah but it's all synthetic and includes all oils plus extras. I'll still have to go over shipping with them. But the guys I was talking to said they use it in every vehical. He said the tow rig (2000+ Chevy Duramax) with regular oil in it would need a change every 32-3600 miles. With the Red Line, about 9000 miles.

I dont know. It seemed like a good deal for some great oil so I thought I'd see if anyone else would be interested. If there's much interest I'll call them by Wednesday-ish for details on shipping and ask about a group by discount (but from the website it's already a discount). We'll see.

Red Line V-Twin Power Pack

I've looked at RedLine's V-Twin oils, and the offering doesn't make sense to me. If the specified oil is 20W-50 in both places, WTF is the "transmission" oil for, and how is that different from "primary case oil?" Seems goofy, and their website doesn't explain it. Maybe a deal on seven quarts of 20W-50 would be more useful? [confused]

Yeah that's kinda what I asked. But apperently Red Line likes to use specific oils in each application. The guy I was talking to didn't quite answere me, I'm assuming it's because he doesn't ride, so I'll have to call Red Line direct. At any rate, I am able to get a discount on oil by the quart. Retail would be $10/qt. Still a little price but it's supposed to cut down clutch/tranny chatter and actually settle the engine vibs down.

their mtl has extremem pressure additives in it. They will also recommend the mtl with friction modifyers which works. The tech a redline dave or dan? is really helpful on the phone. I just don't run extended oil change intervels with any brand of lubricant.

Red Line makes kick as$ oil. That is all I will run after it was recommended to me by Terry from JT&S Performance. The same guy who does all the exhaust shootouts for american sportbike.

The reason for me to use synthetic is to change once a year, and because the XB runs pretty hot. I'd have some concerns about EP additives and the clutch. (This bike does run a wet clutch in the same oil system as the transmission, correct?) But, what do I know?

Oh and while I was there these guys rolled up...
